150 YEARS AT 305
Built for this.
Rebuilt for this.
Live/work is not a new idea at 305 North Queen. It is part of the building’s original story.
A building made for living and working.
The Victorian-era Italianate building known as the Rock Building was constructed circa 1872–1874. Allen Rock, a Lancaster shoemaker and boot dealer, developed the property and used it as both his business and his residence.
1872–1874
Allen Rock develops 305 North Queen as a home and place of business.
More than a century later
The building is taken back nearly to its structure and rebuilt around a remarkably similar ambition: a substantial home upstairs and a boutique downstairs.
